Eatmon Townhomes will open its waiting list on Monday, Feb. 2
The Wilson Housing Authority will open the waiting list for its Eatmon Townhomes Development on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.
Eatmon Townhomes is a 32-unit complex. All the apartments are 2-bedroom units.
Beginning Feb. 2, interested individuals and families will be able to pick up a pre-application form from the Housing Authority’s Administration Building at 301 Nash St. E.
The pre-application will also be posted on Wilson Housing Authority website, www.wilsonha .org.
The pre-application may be obtained from the Nash Street site Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Pre-applications will be taken for three weeks and only one pre-application per household will be accepted. All pre-applications must be returned to the Wilson Housing Authority’s Administration Building at 301 Nash Street E. by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026.
Completed pre-applications can be returned in one of four ways:
1) Dropping it off in the return box in the lobby of the Wilson Housing Authority ‘s Administration Office.
2) Mailing it to the following address: Wilson Housing Authority, Eatmon Townhomes Waiting List, 301 Nash St. E., Wilson, NC 27893. All mailed pre-applications must be postmarked by Feb. 24, 2026.
3) Emailing it to swhitley@wilsonha.org. All emails must be received by 4 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2026.
4) Faxing it to 252 291- 0984. All faxes must be received by 4 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2026.
The pre-applications will be accepted in the order that they are returned and placed on a waiting list.
Households will be contacted by the Housing Authority to fill out a full application when their name comes up on the waiting list and housing is available.
Persons with disabilities who require reasonable accommodations to either obtain or fill out a pre-application, or persons who do not speak English and require the help of a translator, may contact Housing Choice Voucher Manager Shakilya Battle at 252-291-2245 ext. 247.

Varita Court
Varita Court Apartments to close Waiting List on Aug. 7, 2025
The Wilson Housing Authority will be closing the waiting list for its Varita Court Apartments on Aug. 7. All new applications for this apartment building must be submitted by this date.
Varita Court is a 24-unit three story apartment building for low-income residents, aged 62 and older, at 205 Goldsboro Street E. in downtown Wilson.
The building has 18 one-bedroom units and 6 two-bedroom units, and there are currently openings for both bedroom sizes.
All the units are rent subsidized with the amount of that subsidy depending on the income of the applicant.
To apply for a unit, you can pick up an application from our administrative office at 301 Nash Street E, Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Completed applications can be dropped off at the same place.
Currently there is not a way to apply online. If you cannot get to the housing authority offices to drop it off, a completed application can be scanned and emailed to the housing authority at jcrouell@wilsonha.org.
