What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior that occurs between family members or intimate partners. This can be physical, verbal or emotional abuse and it presents individuals, families and communities with a significant social problem.  This is a problem for all sorts of people – of every race and economic status. It’s a human rights issue and it’s a threat to the Wilson Community.  If you are being abused, you will probably need help to make the journey to safety. If you are in imminent danger, call 911.
